With Permission To See
2 FEB, 2026Photographic practice became of one of the guides that helped me to see why people can be passionate about certain areas. For me, the start of conscious photographic practice came with the realization that I allow myself to see what happens around me and my surroundings, I am present with what the world and universe around me has. What it has specifically for me today. With seeing comes a chain reaction of appreciation of the vision about the world, the unique perspective that I saw today with my own eyes and felt through my body.
The chain reaction does not stop with the unique perspective we all have, but also insights, and internal dialogue. During the photographic practice that dialogue with the world around me usually find its tune. The dialogue happens to be on the both sides of fullfiling and empty at times. Objects, people, certain light and situations around all speak in different manner and the more I have been fully present with the camera - the more I hear a conversation with my surroundings. I am more content, attentive and grounded to the thought of universe giving enough back today. Finding the field of practice that takes you to both sides of giving dense food for thought and at times complete silence to be filled with your own conclusions.
To personally grasp why people could be completely obsessed with something I am not - was the photography practice. Once a certain individual devotes presence to a craft in any field - the conversation opens for that person with the surroundings. Whether its a street photography walk or lumberjack crafting the wood. The logical conclusion as of now is that only with action and full presence you can hear something back. I am glad photography allows me to see, speak, listen and saturate my life with events I could not access before.
